First things first… I adore this fabric.
So I was super thrilled when our homeowner picked it for a soft treatment to help create her master bedroom retreat. She is a subtle gal, and thought she wanted a simple silk until she saw “it” Yay! So off the fabric went to the work room, and my Guru for all things fabric (drapery workroom) and I started hashing through the details… Even though this door is not typically used to head to the patio, the shade when raised needed to clear the top of the door frame. The folds and fullness created when a London Shade is raised means… we needed to get that dude up there so that it is sure to clear. The most logical place to mount was up high, up at the ceiling line, so the shade could be securely anchored to a header beam which certainly gave this room some drama!
The finished product……. (low lighting really obscures the details of how great this fabric and finished product really was,but *sigh* best I could do that day)
