It’s always fun when a homeowner finds a fabric that really speaks to them. The vibrant fabric on these roller shades was the starting point for the window treatment design in this game room.
The first challenge was that the fabric was not available in a wide enough width for one shade on this window. As a result, we broke the shade up into three cordless shades to match the design of the window. The factory pattern matched all shades, so when they are lowered, the design flows. To tie it all together at the top, we added a coordinating red fabric valance.
The door also needed a window covering, and repeating the same pattern felt a bit overwhelming in the small space. Instead we added a complementary brown and tan stone fabric, done as a cordless roman shade, which played well into the organic feel of the floral. Again, to make sure it related to the other treatment we used the same fabric on the valance as we did on the windows cornice board.
The result was simple, functional treatments that really gave this space tons of character!
